November gives us the perfect opportunity to pause and appreciate the students, families, educators, and community members who work together every day to make our schools exceptional.

We all want our kids to grow up loving books and feeling confident as readers. But did you know that the journey to strong reading skills starts way before preschool, and right at home?

As we step into September, it is hard to believe that another school year has begun. As your school board member, I want to take a moment to reflect on the first month of this exciting and sometimes challenging journey.

As we prepare to start another school year, I am energized about all the amazing things we have in store. We're beginning this year with some wonderful news that sets the foundation for our success.

While summer should be filled with rest and play, it’s also an excellent opportunity to keep your child’s mind active, especially when it comes to reading.

As we embrace the summer months, I want to take a moment to reflect on the incredible achievements and exciting progress within our school district.

The school year has officially come to an end, and what an extraordinary journey it's been! Throughout our District, students, teachers, staff, and families have achieved remarkable milestones together—and we're ending this year with tremendous momentum.

When it comes to choosing the right educational path for students, families often weigh the benefits of public versus private schools. The School District of Lee County stands out as an exceptional choice.

As we march forward into the spring, I am filled with pride for the amazing work we continue to do in our district, and I want to take a moment to reflect on the progress we’ve made together and the exciting initiatives ahead.

Cell phone use in the classroom has been a topic of interest for Florida state leaders, school district leaders, teachers, and parents alike since Governor DeSantis signed House Bill 379, limiting cell phone use in schools, in May of 2023.

As we turn the page on a new calendar year, I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season filled with joy, relaxation, and cherished moments with loved ones.

I hope this message finds you well; it’s hard to believe we are upon completing the first half of the 2024-2025 school year. It is a privilege to serve as your county-wide school board member.
