The
School District of Lee County invites you to join them at one of three upcoming
Town Halls for families and community members. Superintendent Dr. Christopher
Bernier and the School Board will share the District’s updated Strategic Plan,
introduce the new middle school proximity zones, and discuss projected growth
over the next 10 years.
Middle school proximity zones redraw the attendance boundaries for 6th, 7th and 8th grade students, assigning them to schools closer to home. Community based schools encourage parental involvement and reduce the need and demand for transportation.
A Town Hall Event will be held in each zone. Parents and community members are encouraged to attend the event that is most convenient to them.

The Lee County School Board will be presented the middle school proximity plan on October 11th. The meeting starts at noon and is broadcast live or available for later viewing at www.YouTube.com/LeeSchoolsTV. The School Board is expected to vote on the middle school proximity plan at their 6:00 p.m. action meeting on Tuesday, November 21st.
