Action Meeting - August 3, 2026

Consent Action Items

The School Board approved:

  • The Early Head Start - Child Care Partnership Contracts with Child Care Centers of Southwest Florida dba P.A. Geraci Child Development Center and dba. Joseph H. Messina Children's Center to provide access to high-quality, full day, full year child care for low-income working families.
  • A Memorandum of Understanding with Lee Memorial Health System to provide a cooperative transition program for students with developmental disabilities to increase their employability skills.
  • State of Florida Statewide Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK) Provider Contracts to provide three hours a day of high-quality early childhood education to four-year-old children at Amanacer Elementary, Bonita Springs Elementary, Early Childhood Center/Early Childhood Learning Services, Franklin Park Elementary, Gulf Elementary, G. Weaver Hipps Elementary, Green Meadows Elementary, Harns Marsh Middle, James Stephens Elementary, J. Colin English Elementary, Lehigh Elementary, Manatee Elementary, Patriot Elementary, Ray V. Pottorf Elementary, San Carlos Elementary, Spring Creek Elementary, Sunshine Elementary, Tropic Isles Elementary, and Villas Elementary.
  • The Initial Charter Technical Center Contract with The Heights CareerTech Institute, Inc. DBA The Heights CareerTech Institute.
  • Proceeding with the charter school contract termination of Classical Education Network, Inc. dba Optima Classical Academy at Estero.
